Stephen King Talks About 'Dr Sleep'

I have been looking around the net lately and found an interview with Stephen King chatting candidly about 'Dr. Sleep' - sequel to 'The Shining'.  Here, he talks about the vast differences between the book 'The Shining' and the film adaptation by Stanley Kubrick.

Dr Sleep Interview

On the same page, I found another smaller interview about writers and if they have their own version of 'The Shining' as they write books.  This interview is between Mr. King and the same interviewer while they walk and is only about a minute or so long, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Do Writers Have The Shining?

Enjoy!  Until my next post, happy reading!

An Interview With Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

I was sent this link through Facebook from a great friend of mine who knows I love writers and authors.  And so I've been sitting here watching it and listening to it while I've been doing other things online.  I thought to share what Sir Arthur Conan Doyle had to say to us all about mystery novels and other thing on his mind.  He covers so much in the 10 minutes on here, it's hard to describe it.  But I do love the way he comes on and is followed by his lovely dog and pats him before he stands up as well, before leaving.  Very gentlemanly indeed!

An Interview with Ged Maybury

Ged Maybury has been a writer of Young Adult fiction for a few decades.  However, since his arrival from New Zealand to Australia, his interest in Steampunk has increased; as his writing has changed and morphed into another style, which has attracted a new, growing audience of style, action and old-world charm mixed with the new world ways.
I once met Ged Maybury in his early days of writing when he was writing for Young Adults and he did a workshop for the Logan Writers' Guild at the Logan North Library (before it was moved and The Lions Den AFL Club was built in its place) at Springwood here in Logan City.  It was a great day spent with him; and once our time ran out in the room, we took him to a coffee shop nearby and we all had afternoon tea with him.  It was a memorable and fun time we had with this great author; one I'll never forget.
However, I have found a short interview of his from two months ago on YouTube about his new book; and I thought you guys would love to see it.  Until my next post, happy reading!

I was surfing the net and found this great four-part interview from 2009 about the movie 'Stand By Me' which was taken from the story by Stephen King 'The Body'.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore

This is a lovely 15 minute film that was posted on Bookcrossing last night and I thought - before going off to bed - that I'd have a look at it.  Well!  What a lovely film about books and how they can cure the human soul.  Take the time and enjoy this; it's well worth it.

Interview With John Irving

John Irving is an author I admire; and yet I have yet to read his work fully.  He was somebody I wished I could get into the works of, however, it's been hard and yet I still buy his books and attempt to read them.
Here is an interview that was uploaded onto YouTube in February last year from France which goes for 11 minutes.  He talks about books, his life and everything how he became a writer and why he loves what he does.  Must thank france24english for uploading this interview for us.

Interview With Douglas Adams

It's early and there's nothing on television - and I thankfully turned it off.  So, here I am looking around on YouTube for an interview to share with you all; and who should I find but an interview of Douglas Adams!  Here you all are!  It was uploaded only last year!
Must thank OneTiredNumbers on YouTube for uploading this wonderful 22 minute interview of this brilliant sci-fi author whose life was cut short far too soon!

I've been on YouTube again looking around for interviews with authors.  This time I found one with a pair of Steampunk authors: Pip Ballentine and Tee Morris who write this popular genre.  Must thank .tv and BWELA for uploading this interview onto YouTube.
The trailer they talk about isn't revealed at the end of the interview.  So, I looked around and found it for you.

A Conversation With Stephen King

I've been surfing YouTube and found a few interviews with authors. However, I wanted to find something that was indepth and personal about an author.  And so, when I stumbled upon this conversation with Stephen King that was uploaded early last year, I thought you'd like it.  For the first 40 seconds or so, he doesn't say anything, but give it time, Steve will.  He talks for 26 minutes about his books and writing; mainly about 'Full Dark, No Stars'

Must thank SimonSchulster for uploading this video to Youtube.
